Lipedema is a systems problem. Insulin, inflammation, histamine, gut function, lymphatic capacity, nervous system regulation, they’re all connected, and they all drive the symptoms you’re trying to manage. This program addresses all of them, in the right order, built around your specific body and your actual life

Foundations

A 12-Week Program for Women with Lipedema

You’ve been told to compress, to move, to manage symptoms.

Foundations goes deeper.

Most lipedema care focuses on external management (compression, surgery, lymphatic drainage). Very little addresses the internal systems that actually drive inflammation, fluid accumulation, and fat cell dysfunction.

Those systems are insulin regulation, histamine load, gut integrity, lymphatic capacity, and nervous system state. They interact with each other. When one is dysregulated, the others follow. That’s why addressing one piece in isolation (keto alone, lymphatic massage alone, compression alone), only takes you so far.

Foundations is built around all of them, addressed in the right order, with the clinical reasoning explained so you understand what your body is doing and why.

Is Foundations Right for You?

This program is for women with lipedema (diagnosed or strongly suspecting) who:

  • Have tried protocols (keto, RAD, lymphatic massage, compression, supplements) and either plateaued, burned out, or didn’t get the response they expected

  • Notice their legs feel heavier by 5pm, swelling after meals, afternoon energy crashes, or cravings that won’t respond to willpower

  • Suspect metabolic imbalance is driving their symptoms but haven’t had anyone address it directly

  • Are perimenopausal or menopausal, or have hypothyroidism, and feel like their body shifted in ways standard lipedema advice doesn’t account for

  • Want to understand what their body is actually doing, not just follow another protocol blindly

This is not the right fit if your situation requires medical management as the first priority, an active autoimmune flare, severe digestive disease requiring clinical intervention, or eating disorder history that needs specialist care before nutrition work begins. The discovery call is where we figure that out together.

Why Metabolic Health Is the Starting Point for Lipedema

Most lipedema approaches start with the lymphatic system. Foundations starts with metabolism, and there’s a specific reason for that.

Elevated insulin drives sodium retention and increases vascular pressure, which forces fluid into the extracellular tissue. In a lipedema body, with weakened connective tissue and more permeable capillaries, that fluid spills into the tissues more readily than it would otherwise. That’s the heaviness in your legs by 5pm. That’s the puffiness after meals. That’s why compression helps temporarily but doesn’t address what’s causing the accumulation in the first place.

When insulin has a chance to come down — through structured meals, real breaks between eating, adequate protein — your body shifts out of storage mode. The fluid load reduces. The lymphatic system has less to clear. That’s when the other work actually lands.

Metabolic health is also the thread that connects everything else: histamine reactivity, gut integrity, hormonal shifts in perimenopause, muscle loss with age. They all interact with insulin. Starting here isn’t arbitrary — it’s where the leverage is.

How the 12 Weeks Are Built

Foundations works in three phases. Each one builds on the last, and the order is intentional, because starting with the wrong thing first is part of why piecemeal approaches plateau.

Phase 1 - Weeks 1 to 4: Metabolic Foundation

The first four weeks focus on meal rhythm, protein, and insulin stability. Three structured balanced meals, real breaks between meals, no constant grazing. This matters because elevated insulin drives sodium retention, increases vascular pressure, and forces fluid into the extracellular tissue. Getting this right first gives your body a cleaner physiological environment for everything that follows.

What you may start to notice: less heaviness in your legs by 5pm, fewer afternoon crashes, reduced cravings, better sleep.

Phase 2 - Weeks 5 to 8: Inflammation, Histamine, and Gut Health

With the metabolic foundation in place, we formally introduce the histamine and gut connection, why two women with lipedema can eat the same meal and have completely different responses, how gut integrity affects histamine breakdown, and what supporting the gut lining actually looks like in practice. Anti-inflammatory nutrition gets more specific here, and targeted supplementation is introduced where appropriate.

What you may start to notice: less reactivity after meals, reduced swelling, more predictable energy.

Phase 3 - Weeks 9-12: Movement, Lymphatic Support, and Nervous System Regulation

Movement and lymphatic support come third, not first. The reason is straightforward: the lymphatic system can only clear so much fluid per day. If your body is still dumping excess fluid into the tissue because of unaddressed vascular pressure and high histamine load, movement and lymphatic work are fighting a losing battle. Reducing what’s causing the accumulation first means the lymphatic support actually lands.

Phase 3 brining sin movement appropriate for a lipedema body, sustainable lymphatic support practices, nervous system regulation, and sleep support, layered onto everything already established.

Week 12 - Consolidation

No new information. This call pulls everything together into one final personalized protocol: your nutrition rhythm, supplement stack, movement plan, lymphatic support practices, and nervous system tools in a format you can live inside long after the weeks are done.

What’s Included in Foundations

90-Minute Intake Call

A full review of your health history, symptoms, current patterns, and lifestyle. This is where we identify your biggest leverage points and build your phase one protocol together. You leave with a clear starting point, not a list of things to eventually figure out.

Personalized Protocol in Practice Better

Built after your intake call and updated across all three phases. This is your plan, specific, actionable, and tied to outcomes you’ll actually feel, not abstract goals.

Three Follow-up Calls (Weeks 4, 8, and 12)

Each call reviews what’s shifted, troubleshoots what came up, and introduces the next phase. The week 12 call is consolidation, no new information, just everything pulled together into one final protocol that belongs to you.

Weekly check-In Messaging

Ongoing support through Practice better between sessions. For adjustments, questions, and accountability across all 12 weeks.

Recipes and Topic Explainer Documents

Written specifically for your picture, not generic handouts. These exist so you understand the reasoning behind what we’re doing, not just what to do.

Supplement Guidance Where Appropriate

Introduced in phase 2 where relevant, always with the instruction to verify with your doctor given your individual health context and any medications.

What You Leave With

Most women who come to Foundations already know a lot. They’ve read the research, followed the accounts, tried the protocols. What they’re missing isn’t more information, it’s someone who can look at their specific picture, show them how it all connects for them, and keep them consistent long enough to feel the shift.

By week 12 you’ll have:

  • A clear understanding of what’s been driving your symptoms and why

  • A personalized protocol built from 12 weeks of data about your specific body, your triggers, your responses, and your life

  • The ability to troubleshoot on your own, because you understand the mechanisms, not just the rules

  • A plan that holds after 12 weeks are done

FAQs

Do I need a formal lipedema diagnosis to work with you?

No. Many women I work with are still in the process of getting a diagnosis, or haven’t been able to access one in their area. If your symptoms resonate and you suspect lipedema is part of your picture, the discovery call is the right place to start.

Is this program only for earlier-stage lipedema?

Foundations creates the most meaningful impact for women at stages 1 and 2, where the physiological drivers are most responsive to nutrition and lifestyle work. If you’re at a later stage, we can talk through whether this is still the right fit during the discovery call.

I’ve already tried keto and RAD. Will this just be more of the same?

No. Foundations isn’t a therapeutic elimination diet. The focus is on meal rhythm, insulin stability, histamine load, gut integrity, and nervous system regulation — addressed in a specific order and built around your actual life. Most women who come to me have already done the restrictive protocol route. This is different.

Do you work with women outside of Canada?

Yes. Foundations is fully virtual and open to women in any country. Please note that I’m not able to work with clients in certain US states due to licensing restrictions, we can confirm this on the discovery call.

What if I can’t commit to 12 weeks right now?

I also offer a standalone 60-minute audit session if you’re not ready for the full program. It’s a focused look at your current picture, where your biggest leverage points are, and what to prioritize first. The audit fee is credited toward Foundations if you decide to continue.
